High Purity, Pellet PAX Potassium Amyl Xanthate In Mo Flotation
Description
PAX is a strong and unselective reagent with 5 carbon atoms in its chain, commonly a pale yellow powder or pellet with a pungent odor, widely used in flotation to recover all sulfide minerals such as rougher unit. In copper, zinc, lead, nickel and pyrite contained gold flotation field, PAX is used as main collector. In ore dressing plant, it is dissolved as 5~20% solution to add in the mixing or conditioning tank.
Production of PAX
Potassium Amyl Xanthate is produced by reacting amyl alcohol with carbon disulfide and potassium hydroxide. The reaction is as below:
CH3(CH2)4OH + CS2 + KOH → CH3(CH2)4OCS2K + H2O

Storage
